Day three demo. Ran saw cuts with a Skill saw set just deep enough to almost score the aluminum bottom sheet. To aid in prying the piece up make your saw cut just before a nail line. If you cut after the nail line it will be a beatch to pry up. Use a grinder to cut off the heads of the nails that are left.

Wonder if anyone can guess what's in pic 2.

I think I found my seat belt anchor holes??????

Finally the demo is done. I did take out some but not all the bolts. I decided to leave the lag bolts in below the storage doors on the drivers side but took all the rest out. I left two in on the passenger side but will cut just before placing new flooring in.

I figure that I have pulled out well over 200 lbs of extra flooring, water soaked plywood and three big garbage bins of bits and pieces. The lower piece in the pic is a very rotted piece. The top piece was the final piece I pulled out, close to the door, so yes a bit of black but not too bad.

The black plastic tube in pic 2 is A/C drain tube???? It is crimped shut as they riveted the inside sheet over the tube pressing it against the C channel. I wonder if this would account for the water?

I think that is exactly what happened! Amazing that it was finally found after all these years (and all the damage it caused!)

The new floor is in and the drivers/passenger side is just fine....after all the layers I had to take off to get to the original floor.

Yes I'm not sure what's going on under the seats. A PO put the same rubber sheets up there as well. The problem is the rubber. It may deaden sound, but it trapped all the moisture.
Does anyone know where to get Coosa and Starbright boards in the U.S.? I can get may hands on marine plywood rather easily.

If you can get your hands on Marine board easily, you should be able to order Coosa board easier than I was able too. The only distributor in Eastern and Central Canada was an outfit in Halifax, Nova Scotia; which is about a 2000 kms away from me. I was lucky to phone the right Marine shop in my area and they shipped three 3/4" 4x8 boards to me without any shipping tacked on.

I went with Coosa over Starboard as it's a lot lighter than Starboard and the expansion rate with Starboard makes it tricky to use as flooring.

There is a distributor in Florida but contact Coosa LLC for a closer one to you. Phone the closest Marina or boat sales and service place.

Cheers
Tony
