Renovation Moving Ahead On 79 Excella

IN CASE ANYONE IS INTERESTED, YOU CAN FOLLOW THE RECENT PROGRESS ON MY MAJOR RENOVATION .
THE FOLKS AT GMCCOOP IN ORLANDO HAVE UPDATED THE WEBSITE, AND WE ARE JUST A FEW MONTHS AWAY FROM COMPLETION.
TO CHECK IT OUT, GO TO Cooperative Motor Works (The Co-op). CLICK ON "AIRSTREAM", THEN "AIRSTREAM PROJECTS", THEN ON "79 SHINY ONE".
IF ANYONE CAN USE ANY OF THE ABANDONED INTERIOR PARTS, YOU ARE WELCOME TO THEM. I HATE TO SEE THE ITEMS GET THROWN AWAY, BUT I CAN'T STORE THEM MUCH LONGER .SOME FOLKS HAVE GOTTEN SOME STUFF ALREADY.
HOPE YOU LIKE WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH.
RICK IN NAPLES, FLORIDA

Looks nice Rick! That's quite a detailed documentation. It's great to see all the pics. This URL might work, though I can't guess how long it'll be active: 79 Shiny one

Wow! Rick, that's one major redo. Took me quite a bit of time to go all the way through the progress so far.
The only disappointment so far for me is the exterior mount of the rear view camera, I mounted mine out of the weather behind the rear window. They're small enough to put there if anyone is interested. The only consideration is if using IR LED's for illumination. I find that the low lux value of my rear view camera is just fine with my backup lights.
Now the other issue is the funky top of the dash mount and wire for the LCD panel on the dash.... as nice as this buildup has been I wonder why he didn't hide the wire behind the unit. Details, details. I'm fortunate to have a 6.5 inch in dash stereo / DVD monitor with rearview function, so nothing added to the top of the dash.
All in all a great project.... any completion date? Will you make it to Hiawassee in April? We'd love to host the Excella's coming out party!
