If you have done this, please respond with what you did, the part(s), and the cost. Maybe some photos??
My considerations are cost, design, etc.

Russell,
I replaced the original mirrors on my old 310 with remote control Velvac mirrors. It wasn't a straight forward change due to the sloping sides of the motorhome. Most mirrors are designed to mount to a vertical surface as found on the square box motorhomes.
Starting at post #7 I show how I mounted the
Valvac mirrors. I custom made the mounts so the mirrors would mount vertical. The one drawback to these particular Velvac mirrors is they are too tall. The driver only gets to view the lower half of the passenger mirror due to the angle of the cab.
I installed
Ramco mirrors on my Argosy. The Ramcos were shorter and worked out well. The advantage of the Ramco mirrors is the mirror can tilt side to side due to the way it's fabricated. That allows the mirror to sit vertical.
I bought both sets of mirrors off of ebay. I don't remember the exact prices but they were a lot cheaper than buying new.
