Power Mirror Adjustment??
I've seen some photos of classic AS's and it occurs to me that my curb side mirror is low. I like to sit as high as possible but even with the power seat all the way up I can't really see my convex on that side.
I've seen some photos of other rigs and the curb side mirror looks to be higher... is it just me or can you see your bottom mirror?
I looked at the mount today and there is an allen bolt up to the arm from below. I wonder if an extension is possible?

Not only power mirrors but heated too!
I've been looking at everyone's photos and find a wide assortment of mirrors.... the ones in question are a black aero setup with a fixed convex below a power adjustable main mirror.
My curb side seems to be a bit low and I really need to elevate it some.... or myself. It may be easier to get me up higher .

Power Mirors??
I don't like my mirrors either. What kind of mirrors do you have and where did you get them. The best I could find so far cost nearly $1000.00.

I put Ramco 9000CCR on my MH. They cost $372.00 tax and all. If I had to do it over, I would get the heated AND turn signal ones, and even metal if I had the upgrade $$$. Nonetheless, these are electric, with fixed convex bottoms, and work well. I tried getting them first from Inland, but never received emails back, so went straight to Ramco. Their # is 800.321.4819. My RV guy installed for about $200.

Here is the link for Ramco- http://www.ramco-eng.com/
I think Glen needs to ride in one of our standard coaches to really appreciate what he has. Heated electric seats. I use a hair dryer mounted with a coat hangar and duct tape to heat my seat. Kind of pulls at the belt line but my coat keeps it all covered.

Mounting
When they installed the mirrors, did the new mounts cover the old mounting holes? Could someone who is fairly handy mount them themselves? Was the price you quoted for the pair, or one side?

The new mirrors covered the old holes more than adequately due to their bases being a little larger footprint. Also, the install price was for the pair, and the only reason I paid was due to the electrical stuff that I wouldn't know how to connect. However, anyone with a little skill can install themselves and or at least mount them and have someone connect the wires if needed. I like my mirrors.

Glen, it sounds like your mirrors may have been added by the funeral home that owned your coach previously. It also sounds like they may have installed it a shade low. Is it at the bottom of the window, or is there some room where you could mount it a little higher?

Replacement Mirrors
Thanks ASTRDOKK. I also would like to know if the buy price was for two mirror or per side. I agree with GLENCOOMBE. My right side mirror is too low.,

Kent, perhaps you misunderstood. I have heated power MIRRORs. The new seats are not heated.... but now that you mention it
I believe that before I installed new mirrors I'd take them off completely. My replacement would be done with mini CCD cameras and 7" LCD monitors mounted inside the cab in the logical spots inside. Could actually accomplish that for less than new power mirrors!
Wonder how much drag I could reduce by shaving the door handles?

Ramco Mirrors
In the process of ordering mirrors for my 345. Checked Velvac for the model 2025, part # 713818 with remote and turn signal, $637.50. Got figures from Ramco for same thing, $411.94. Ramco wins! Waiting for their salesperson to e-mail me back with method of payment.
Guess the prices went up since this discussion a while ago.

Is that for each or the pair? Will you be installing them by yourself? If you do install them by yourself how about a step bey step.

Ramco Mirrors
Thats for the pair. Yes, I will be installing them myself but I am waiting for warmer weather. It's still too cold here in Minnesooota.

Removing and Installing Ramo Mirrors
Here is a previous link on removing and installing mirrors. I will certainly follow their suggestions.

I solved my low curb side mirror problem finally with a 2" spacer and a longer allen head bolt. Life is much better with a clear view of the convex mirror on that side.
Total cost less than $10.00

Ramco Mirrors
UPS delivered my mirrors today. They look great. They seem to be well made and well designed as well. Can't wait to mount them.
