overflow tank?

The overflow tank on my 86 345 cracked the plastic it's made of was to old and brittle to repair. So, do you think this one will work?

I'm not a motorhome guy, and don't know if the one you link to will fit, but it seems sort of pricy to me.

I know you can get generic plastic overflow tanks for not very much money at most any auto parts store.

Probably, but the plastic ones have the advantage of checking fluid level just by glancing at it. As Steve mentioned go to any good auto parts store and buy a universal one.

Isn't the glass tube along the front the level gauge ?

The tube in front is plastic I was thinking of sizing it up about 1/2 inch or so then putting the level sensors in it.

None of the plastic tanks I found were large enough. The old one size is 10 x 8 x 5 = 400 in^3 = 7qt.

I was hoping for other options, it is a bit much.

arden dean- Here's a pic of the universal one I put in my 1990 345LE. Yes it has less capacity than original one but it has been in it now probably four years without any problems. I don't know if AS discontinued the tank sensors but I do know my 1990 has never had them, at least since I purchased it. Pretty sure this tank cost me about $15.

It was a bit much, but I'll never need to replace it. Call the guy and had him put a 1/2 inch set up for the level check. There should be no problems adding a senser block.

An aluminum tank is in my plan.
The level sensors rely on sensing the resistance across the 2 tank mounted sensors I think.
Covered with liquid = circuit complete, no warning lamp.
Uncovered = Circuit open, warning lamp.
They just need to be isolated from the tank body by mounting them in a grommet like the holding tank sensors.
Drill the correct size hole and deburr, insert the sensor, and tighten the first nut to expand the rubber seal, then attach your electrical connector between the first and second nut.
