New Rearview Mirrors

I bought some mirrors off ebay, and finally got them mounted up. my original ones were terribly bad - permanantly cloudy, small, and confusing (dangerous). The seller said they bought these for $1k 20 years ago, and never installed them. They have dual adjustment motors and controlers, but I don't think I'll ever hook them up. They came with different (smaller) mounts that you had to bolt from the inside, so I just modified the original mounting bracket and they're bomber! Not only did the original brackets use the same mounting holes, but it also provided the correct angle - since these aftermarket units were made for a flat/vertical mounting surface (SOB). I chose these because they have a nice aluminum finish, and they're huge. I also like the fact that I can swing the arm around for adjustment. After I paid for them I thought they might be too big from the measurements (10"x11"-16"arm), but now that they're on the rig, I think they're perfect.-Kevin
PS, I know your first question: what brand? I have no idea, there are no markings on the mirrors and the seller couldn't remember. How much? $250 shipped. I might have been able to find some new ones for a little more, but nothing this cool.

I know! I read your post about 10 times and wanted to buy the same thing. I called Ramco (because their website has been under construction for like 14 months) and asked for a cataloge but never got one.

I'll hook up the power some day, but all our cars have power mirrors and once they're set, I never seem to touch them. I figure it would take as long to adjust them 5 times as it would to install the power. Plus I'm not keen on drilling another hole in the skin. I'm just happy to have something I can see clearly with. Plus I barley made the time to do this much. Self-employed and a 9 month old.

Cheers!
-Kevin
