I am trying to repair the plumbing under the bathroom counter in my 1984 300. I have read the manual several times on how to remove the "lavatory top" but just can't seem to make it happen without the fear of never being able to put it back together. There are screws and rivets coming from the inside out and it is very difficult if not impossible for me to remove them.
I re-did the plumbing in the kitchen area and did not have this kind of problem removing the counter.
Has anyone run into the same problem and can offer some advise?
Say what you want about Airstreams, but they sure don't skimp on fasteners!
When I removed the base cabinets from my bath and galley, I was amazed at the number of screws that were holding it all together. Every time I thought I'd removed the last screw, I'd find two more that were still in place, and then two more, and so on. My guess is that you've still got a few that are eluding you.
