Wow - I'm in for those headlights; that's incredible. I drove from Northern California to Galveston with only the stock lowers. Much of the driving was at night and, at times, I could barely see a thing!

Interesting benefit of the new ps pump is that the steering has somehow tightened up. I guess the old pump was putting out erratic pressure causing constant minor adjustments at the steering wheel, but now they are unnecessary....

So this week's project was to replace the stripe. Since we started camping tonight I started the project Saturday morning along with some polishing of the Al. I went with a 3" blue vinyl to cover the wood ( I know it's sacrilege to not like the wood, but I don't) then I put a 1/8" red on the top and bottom in between the double silver stripes. I'm thinking a 1/8" silver stripe on top and bottom of the blue will be just right (unless I can find a bunch of 2-1/2" white stars to go in the blue&#128512....pictures to follow in the morning....

This week's work in prep for the trip to Jekyll from Dripping:
New bilstein front shocks. They ride so great with new tires and centramatics that I think I'm going to change the backs to bilstein.
Finally got the led clearance lights on the rear, and adjusted an led trailer light for the other side tail light. Like that, so will be changing the rest using same method.
Added a led strip to the rear bumper for increased visibility.
Fixed oil leak on generator, new plugs and carb clean.
Removed 'temporary' fuel pump and returned to original.
Changed oil and filters in genset and Chassis engine Mobil 1 10w30 this time.
Tv antenna wire fixed in ceiling so digital antenna finally works after a year.
Installed wine fridge and fixed drawers again, will be re doing cabinets after this trip.
The trip is going well, 800 miles in and she's been running great. Weather has been rainy and windy, so challenging driving in the dark even with the good headlights.

Kudos, Bill for doing that trip in your 325. We just recently went to Jacksonville, Fl and back pulling the 30' trailer. IH 10 in Florida is fantastic, but we had lots of bad roads on the way.
Have a safe trip!

Thanks Peter! We're headed to Jekyll Island today for a few days with my folks, then turn around and head home, then camping at lake LBJ with friends for NYE...

Interesting observation about this rig: if I change the oil and top off fluids, then drive it, it maintains the levels, but parked in the barn it starts leaking (or marking territory depending on your perspective)....

Made it back Friday, 850 miles Thursday and 362 on Friday, all of it uneventful (thankfully). The genset gave us problems on day 3 on the drive out but was able to resolve it the day after we arrived. Average pace on the trip was 60 mph, no major issues, so all in all a good trip.
