Learned a few things on our last trip that I plan to correct this week. First up is new headlights. Bought a HID conversion kit this week, that I hope to install today. We are doing plenty of dark driving (since it's winter), but kind of like the early morning quiet time with less traffic, so hoping to increase outward vision with the new lights. Photos to follow...

Bill, looking forward to your conversion. Can you post a link to the Kit?
I installed fog lights that helped tremendously, but I would like to upgrade the headlights as well.

Bill,

the stock GM headlight switches and wiring may not be "heavy" enough to support the electrical load of HIDs without eventually burning out with some amount of color, smoke and surprise!

you might wish to fabricate, or buy pre-assembled, a headlamp relay set.

try Painless Performance, or some vendor like www.Jegs.com, or a guy who really knows all about this stuff - Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

ymmv!

Here's a photo of the kit, I bought one with led built in for DRL use (somehow I'm invisible most of the time). Here's a link to the one I bought

Wowza! For $85, that seems too good to be true.

The kit I bought was only one pair, so you could get two different to get two colors....I haven't decided what to do with the high beams yet, leaning toward hella halogens (old school), but we'll see where I shake out...
