One interesting I learned by entering the all of the airstream numbers based on the link provided on page 2 of this thread is that my title states year 1984 but the airstream model year is 1985.

In looking at the numbers, I wonder if all units (trailers & MH) produced fall into AS production serial numbers we are using? Based upon the original assumption discussed, it would appear that over 220 MH were produced in 1979...which I highly doubt (I had heard something like one per week somewhere, perhaps I'm wrong).

I was inspired by this thread and decided to create a little .NET web application called the "Airstream VIN Translator". It will translate the Airstream VIN for your MH or Trailer (1982 or newer) for you. Just enter in your number and click the "Translate" button.

I translated mine and except for the bath configuration it's pretty accurate:
