I would like to add mine to the list.

1979 Airstream 240 VIN. # M24R9V5001

Looks like my 24 was the first Airstream off the production line WOW!

Jackpot, Ha! Ha!

Too bad the nameplate dosen't say FERRARI!!!

Also I found the sticker of the dealer whom originally sold it in Seattle Washington in 1979. Coast Trailer Exchange, Seattle, Wa.

Also found a production date stamp 4/29/78.

Frank
Frank, is your motorhome a painted Argosy or an unpainted Airstream Excella? Also, I have your serial/vin number listed as being owned by Chris (Huberto) of Monterey CA who bought his in the fall of 2012.

Did you buy Chris's motorhome or do we have a case of duplicate serial/vin numbers?!

Brad

1979 Airstream Excella 240

Brad,

I purchased this unit from Chris in March 2013. I'm in the process of restoring right now. My 24 is not painted.

So who is the keeper of the spread sheet for classics? I know Brad was doing Argosys. Can we post the current list?
Thanks!

79/80 Airstream Motorhome

Serial # M28T9V2021.
We were told this was an built as an Argosy in 79, painted silver and sold as a 1980 Airstream Motorhome, 28'. It's a rear bath.
Labeling is Airstream, but does not say Excella.
I couldn't find the exact model in the list for below my name to the left, so used Excella as closest option. It was definitely sold as an Airstream, not an Argosy, so I'm a little confused about it's classification.
It's titled as a 1980 Chevrolet, says Airstream on it, inside & out.

My AS Serial No. is 1A9JGAS34HJ010795. We just bought it about a month ago. If it's not in the list, then here's one more....

1983 310 VIN # Location

I need help locating the chassis vin # on my 1983 310. The Airstream vin tag is on the radiator support as mentioned previously in this thread. If I understand correctly the chassis vin # should be there also but there is no tag that I can see. I've looked everywhere inside the engine compartment. Also there is no tag anywhere on the dash. Is there somewhere on the frame ? The title has the chassis vin so it must be there somewhere. I'm concerned that I can't find the vin # to match the title.

On my Argosy it is very close to the Airstream one, the Airstream one is on the radiator support, the GMC one is to the right on the bulk head

I just found the chassis vin # on my 310 motorhome. The Airstream vin is on the vertical support above the coolant overflow bottle but the chassis vin isn't on the same vertical support as some are. Instead it's in the center of the horizontal support above the radiator and was covered by the rubber firewall cover . Hope this helps someone down the road.

Thanks everybody.... I feel better now.

Well... the first page does not seem like the completed list, or is it?
