Question Motorhome Airstream 270 Weight

Hello,
I'm from Europe and our law let us drive maximum 3600kgs vehicules with a normal driving licence, over that we need a truck licence, very hard to get.
I've a project to buy a 270 airstream motorhome and travel across the U.S before to ship it to Europe, but I need to know its weight before to ensure I'll be able to drive it on our roads...
Thank you if you can help me to find this answer (in kilograms or tons).
Bests
Jerry

My 280 weighs 14,500 lbs. or 6577 kgs. so I would guess the 270 will be similar and more than your license will allow.

14,500 lbs is the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of the 280, but the unit weight on the road as defined by Airstream is 10,500 lbs. Presumably your license rates vehicles by GVWR and not actual weight though, so it would be well over the allowed weight at 6600 kg. However, maybe you should do a bit more research, because certainly in some European countries, like Britain for instance, in the under 7.5 tonne category, there is a lower grade license than a full truck driver's license and which is only a little different than the license for an ordinary car.
