Took a very successful 240 mile shake down drive today. No big issues arose. I think I can declare this project complete. I'm sure there will be many more!

Wow! I'm really impressed with how fast you got the job done. I know just how much work you had to do to get that engine out and then back in again.
When I'm ready to stuff the 454 back in my Argosy I'll give you a call
Brad

Amazing Work!!! I still am over whelmed at the talented folks on these forums! Hell, I spent the week end tring to figure out which 2cndary fuel filter should go on my engine since the shop put on a car quest and I want to go back to cummins.... The only way I would ever consider an engine replacement is by doing a vehicle replacement!

Probably needs a bit of break in and fine tuning, but how did it perform?

It's a great time to consider a fire suppression system for your investment. I would also recommend removing the dog house once a month to check for any leaks that may have started until it is to late only to find them while driving.

It ran very good. Definitely improved the power. I do have a hesitation right before the secondaries open under hard acceleration or on a big climb. I have to work that out. Does anyone here run a fuel/air gauge? Seems like a good way to pinpoint my problem. What's another $200 at this point?

Between transporting your coach back home, removing the engine, rebuilding the engine and then reinstall it I really like the attitude you've had throughout this whole ordeal!
Pretty impressive

Kudo's again to the Chiefair.
These Classics do test patience, but at the end of the day there's no point in throwing a fit or something heavy as both will do more damage and cost you more money and take longer to fix.
Selling a 310 a thousand miles from home with a blown motor isn't an option. I just pray I never find out as replacing my Isuzu would not be as easy. Heck, I keep an eye out all the time for such a beast but no joy.
Cheers
Tony
