Question Model Confusion and tank capacity

Hello All...
I am a newbie to the forum and have sort of a dumb question. I purchased my 1979 Excella from a dealer that new nothing about Airstreams and he listed it as a 27 foot model. I am thinking however that it is a 28'. How can I determine the exact model?? Perhaps by floorplan? Mine has a rear bath, with twins forward of the bath with the bunk option. No dinette in the salon...simply the settee folding into a bed. I actually just listed her for sale in the classifieds section if anyone cares to have a look.
Lastly, does anyone know the holding tank capacities as manufactured...the fresh, grey, and black?
Many thanks...this is my first post to this great forum!!!

Islander,

Welcome to the best Forum on the net! Here's a link to tank sizes from Fred's site: http://www.airstreammotorhomes.com/tanks.html You might want to look around that site at Floorplans as well. It shows the 1979 Excella at 28' with a rear bath, just as you described. As you can see the tanks were listed as 50 gal. fresh, 35 gal. gray, and 25 black (or maybe the other way around on the gray and black, but it's listed on the link.) Good luck,

I don't think a 27 was made in 1979...but not sure so check Fred's site again for that info as he has the best reference for us motorhomers.

Absolutely! And you're right, there was no 27 made in 1979. Fred's site is a tremendous resource all the time, but especially when trying to figure out where your vehicle fits in the whole scheme of the Classics.

Islander,

ALANSD has also been a very big help to me since I got my 370, and even before I finally decided to take possession.
