Thanks for chiming in, any more ideas are certainly welcomed. The tubing has a round fitting on the end that a bolt passes through and is attached to the cap of the fuel filter housing.

If you plan on replacing the line at some point, you could cut it (with a tubing cutter to keep small particles out of the line), flare it and connect the 2 ends with some rubber fuel line and clamps.

Ditto 62 in October, heart attack and stent in November. Widow maker nearly did me in. Not sure if it was too many steaks and bacon, or this 2 year reno on my 345? This is going in today. Mike if you can identify the leak, crack or pinhole as opposed to leaking at a fitting and running down the tube, slit a short piece of fuel hose lengthwise and hold in place with a worm drive clamp directly over the leak. Removing and cutting the pipe may present a new can of worms with limited tools and supplies. If the split hose fails you can go to the next step but you may get lucky and not have to get too drastic. Good Luck

I think that is a real good idea....cutting the tube will be the last option. I can see where it’s coming from by using the little hand primer pump on the side of the motor. I was thinking to try your idea first before I cut the tubing. It may be enough to stop it. I’ve cleaned the area real good, used some Emory clothe on it and then cleaned again with some alcohol. Then I wrapped it in some 3M rubber tape. Haven’t fired it up yet to see what that’s gonna do, I doubt much.

Mike, the "correct" way to shrink heat shrink is to use a heat gun... Not sure if a hair dryer gets hot enough?
If I was doing it I'd throw some glue or sealant inside before heat shrinking as well

Which gives me another idea, epoxy?

That idea of Dans to clamping some rubber hose directly over the leak spot does sound like a good stopgap repair.

I know you are planning an extensive trip down here this year so let me offer that you stop in here at my place to go about getting a proper repair done with out running afoul of park regs about working on your rig in a park.

No time pressure, transport to track down parts, and a good chance of some home BBQ to boot.
I've been planning to ask y'all to come by anyway, now we have an even better reason.

My schedule is pretty open, just give me a shout when you are heading on down this way, and we will make a plan.

We have had some good dealings with. Beard Equipment in Freeport
They sell and service heavy equipment and do some fabrication in house.
They might be a source for parts. A starting place in the search anyways.

These COE campgrounds are empty this time of year , its GREAT!

We are at one now call Jennings Ferry right on the Black Warrior River, it’s beautiful.
Short drive up to TUSCALOOSA and Alabama BBQ, this place is well known in these parts

Just to update on that fuel line leak....I did end up buying a length of rubber fuel line, cut about a 3” section off of the end. Then cut it length wise and wrapped it around the metal fuel line with several small hose clamps. It has done the trick so far over the last few hundred miles so I think I’m good until I get back home. I’ll order a new fuel line or have one made up.
