He must be reading the forum, because it seems he is using my White masking tape method to remove the woody decal

Couple of things I noticed on that 310...
Twin tailpipes coming out the rear?
Those rear wheel trims are different looking.

Well the weather finally broke here in Colorado, highs predicted in the forties for the week, and of course its time for us to head back east to the flat lands of central Il. Did my preflight yesterday and found one front air bag completely deflated....crap. Put some air in it and it was leaking from the valve core stem. Whew! I carry a stem tool and extra stems in my tool box so I tightened up the stem first and it cured the leak. Everything else seems to be in good shape.
This trip has been the longest trip yet for the wife and I, time wise that is. Dealing with the waste tanks has been the most challenging in these temps. I think that we have solved the freeze up problems with the tanks by using more RV antifreeze, Ill know this morning when we dump on the way out of Fort Collins. Temps at night have been in the single digits just about every day while here in CO. We've had no problems staying nice and toastie in the 310. I did end up placing a small ceramic electric heater near the water pump and shooting warm air down the drivers side under the bed and down the street side wall.
Looks like we'll have good traveling weather on the way home. We are going to take our time getting back, no hurry.

We have to give you lots of credit for undertaking this grand adventure, dealing with the issues that developed, and sharing it all with a sense of humor. It's not quite the same as heading down the Oregon trail in a covered wagon, in winter, but about as close as you can get today!

Thanks Robert, its been a good trip so far. Minimal issues with the rig. Dumped our tanks when leaving Fort Collins and all was well even with the overnight temps in single digits. More RV antifreeze to start with in the empty tank must have done the trick.

Landed in Washington KS this afternoon, staying again at their city campground. Its really a nice little stop over on US36. Options are pretty limited on this rt.

No major issues at all with the rig so far on the trip. Shes running great and keeping us toasty warm. Glad I got the dash heat in good order over the past few months. Engine coolant running steady at 185, oil pressure at 70 while traveling, keeping RPMs around 2800 to 2900. Mph 63-65. Some pretty challenging terrain in western Kansas, long steep hills and the wind just never stops. Turbo is pulling around 13 on some of the hills and the EGT hasnt gotten higher than 1100 +-.

Had a small coolant leak this morning but found a loose hose clamp on the bottom radiator hose. Tightened it up and no more drip. WHEW!!

Just loving this rig. It travels so well. We have had a ball over the past couple weeks in her.

Dont know if its because you fellas suggested that the fuel additive would make the old Isuzu run quieter but I think it seems to be. Took some video with sound from the cockpit while traveling, Ill see if I can post it up here so you can get and idea.

Just too much fun so far.

Sounds like a great trip so far!

I know there is definitely a difference in my F250 Super Duty when I have the additive in the tank compared to when I don't. I'm almost afraid to run without the additive because it makes such a difference.

Last stop over of the trip here in eastern MO. Long Branch State Park, great park. The 310 is running great and all systems seem to have survived the bitter cold snap in Colorado. It wouldnt take much for me to take a hard right and head south all the way to the gulf. Wife needs to get back to work next Monday though.

Traveling in the 310 has completely surpassed my expectations for fun and comfort. This is our first RV so we really had no idea what to expect. This was our second trip to CO this year and its just been a blast. Its been a great deal of work and expense to get her where she is but absolutely completely worth it.

Last leg of the trip tomorrow, back to the flat lands of central Il. I dont wanna go home!!

Wasn't there an airport you could have dropped her at on the way to the Gulf?

Fantastic trip Mike and I'm glad all gauges stayed in the green.

Just like any great athlete, John and I have noticed that the longer you run them the better they get. It does take a bit to get that Isuzu loosened up and fuel additive does help.

Cheers
Tony
