Maiden Voyage
We just got in last evening from our maiden voyage in the 345. What a blast!!! We left Indy two weeks ago staying in Daytona, and Fort Myers Beach. Everywhere we stopped people came out of the woodwork to see our coach. This is the way to travel!
We had one little problem on the way down, and one on the way back. On the way down, we had a heater hose fail just to the right of the engine. One the PO said was new. Linley's Garage in Perry, GA got us going. We had them replace ALL the hoses.
About an hour south of Louisville, KY, on the way home the alternator failed. I just started the generator, and we made the last 3 hours having it supply our electrics.
Neither problem was any big deal. Of course I still have to pull the alternator to have it repaired or replaced.
You guys have been a great help providing me with a place to learn how my AS works, so when there is a problem, I know what to do.
It's really too much to ask that a 20 year old complex machine with 155,000 miles go all the way to Florida and back without at least a couple little deals. Of course I will be striving to get it to the level of preparation so it will.
Thanks, Rob
