Yea, roughly the same size as ontheroadagns though, his fill is on the side instead of top so it gets extra inches. Looks like a 60 gal should fit right in.

So my guess is something happened to the 60 gallon tank, and someone replaced it with a readily available 40gal replacement. I see 40 gallon tanks for $180, but the only 60 gallon i see is a $500+ custom looking job.
Not sure it's worth $500 to me at this moment. The search continues.

So my speedometer is totally wack, it tends to tell me I'm going approximately 170 mph.
The airstream came with a replacement, not 100% sure it's compatible. For one thing, different max speed, for another, not threaded speedometer cable.
Need to do more research. Electrical engineering is my thing, first time replacing gauges though. My default is replace with digital.

Finally have some time to get around to airstream maintenance!
Started with the intermittently failing front right turn signal.
My mind immediately went to the splice connectors, but after replacing i realized it's just that the bulb sockets are so corroded.
Are these still available new? They look pretty generic. I couldn't find a part number anywhere, closest I could find on ebay was the plastic lenses. My shop manual didn't seem to have the correct part number either.
I'm also gonna see if I can replace the plastic surrounds at the same time, they're about a couple potholes from turning to a pile of plastic chips
Also trying out my new wide angle lens

Thanks mayco, i saw those but wasn't sure they were right, the mounting is different. Guess I'll have to rig something up for the mounting, airstream riveted mine in. (Upside down I believe! Probably why the corrosion is so bad!)

Martin found those a while ago. They look like they could work. I guess the GM part is NLA

And the other turn signals I ordered
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...socket&_sop=15
Unfortunately, it looks like only the road side front banana wrap is available, I couldn't find the curb side anywhere. Looks like I might need to break out the fiberglass.

I opted not to rivet the replacements back in place. Instead I made some U shaped brackets to hold them. I'll post pictures when I get home next week.

Got some camping in this weekend!
Also a 60 second project, closet light auto shutoff switch, works like a charm!

I'm jealous, I really wish I had a 310 instead of the 280.

The polishing begins!
Fixing a leak above the door, the whole area is dried out sealant.
Previous owners sealed the drip rail with generic double sided tape stuff, it wasn't up to the job. This is the first thing I'm resealing, any opinions on what's the best way to seal that? Butyl tape, or a thin bead of trempro before screwing back down?

The double side tape is factory. At least all the windows and trim pieces that I've removed have had double sided tape on them.

Huh, wouldn't have expected that, shouldn't be surprised though
Finished sealing that all back up yesterday, cleaned some of the excess today, pretty happy with the results!
A set of cake decorating fondant balls helps make a nice bead when wet, and provides an easy line for cleanup
