Lost my spare cover

Well, I just lost the back spare cover to my 1988 345 airstream somewhere between 100 and 200 miles back. Is it possible to find replacements?

Before you put another cover on, check to see whether the original weatherstripping that the cover rides on is still there. Mine was missing when I got the coach, and the cover rattled around loose but luckily I did not lose it before putting in new weatherstrip.

Bummer I would think about a safety line or two on the cover hooked from the inside.

Could always use gas tubes to secure it... but that would require penetrating the aluminum skin.

First thing they taught us delivering trailers..take it off and throw it inside..if we lost one we had to buy the replacement.

A PO lost my original wheel cover as well. The replacement is just barely hanging on to its mount as well. I'm thinking of mounting a couple of rare earth magnets to act as safety attachments if the clips let go. The big rare earth magnets have amazing pull.

Cheers
Tony
