Finally got my rear airbags, i know some of you have replaced air bags in the past.... bottom bolts are easy of course..however the tops one are the tricky ones, i know you must lift the moho to get the old bags out and new ones in, but where is the best spot to jack it up at, and are there any secrets to gettin the top bolts out???
I use a ten ton floor jack placed under the differential center section. The frame is supported by 4 jack stands placed on the chassis frame rails in front of and behind the tag axle. I lift the front under the cross member and place two jack stands ajacent to front levelers. Speaking of levelers, I moving my rear jacks to the space between the rear axles, as the present location in front of the drive axle is too far forward for effective use. This mod will require moving the air tank forward. Hopefully you have a level cement pad to work on for saftey reasons, both you and the motor home. Pay close attention to the coach frame members fabricated from 2 inch square tubing. Mine are rusted out over the axles, replacement is imminent.
