Liftco step

Seems at some point, my 350LE was retro-fitted with a "Liftco" electric step. I cannot locate the control box to sort-out a function problem. Does anyone know of this step unit being fitted and any ideas how to check the control functions?

After some serious trouble shooting, I replaced the magnetic proximate switch (both passive sender on the screen door and the switched passive receiver and..well all systems are go again. Like most Classics, the wiring under the sink remains invisible and one day, I'll remove the chip board paneling under the sink and work-out what wiring goes where (as in step lights which lack any voltage as well as door chime etc etc)!

If the door bell doesn't work might as well get another motorhome! They are impossible to fix!!

Hey wxbouy..great to hear from you again. I gather from your response that I shouldn't bother with the door bell!
By the way, I've tried to locate on the forum a source for the bushing that is inserted into the "dogbone" mounting of the airbag arm..does that make sense. I've attached pics of the pieces taken by Peter H which seem to need attention. I'm replacing both airbags and want to make sure that I don't miss anything else that needs replacing.
Can't find any thread that deals with "other than airbags themselves!"
I'll also chat with Peter to see if he has ideas
Cheers
Chris

American Carrier Equipment is still in Fresno, CA and they have the parts. You will have to look up the phone number as I don't have it handy. Found the number.

Dan (and Peter)..thanks very much for this link..invaluable!
As the parts were not described, my guess is that I should order the following numbers>
9 (4)
10 (2)
11 (1)
12 (4)
3 (2)
4 (1)
5 (1)
13 (1)
Did I get this right?
Thanks again
Chris

You're welcome Peter. Actually I have worked on air ride systems for quite awhile and I think they are great. The systems are so basic and simple and it bothers me that people have so much trouble and frustration working on them. It's even worse when a shop wants big bucks to work on them and really take advantage of the unsuspecting owner. There are obviously many good shops but unfortunately we only hear about the bad ones.

Sorry about babbling on but I just hope the info helps the guy trying to get his coach down the road.

Also I answered Chris' parts question on his other thread.
