LED Bulb Conversions

For those that changed to LED Bulbs I am looking for reasonable priced LED bulbs for the #67 standard bulb. The #1141 bulb equivalents are readily available and reasonable priced but I am finding the #67 bulb are priced considerably higher. Where did you find reasonable priced and good quality bulbs for both the #1141 and #67 bulb?

Rather than switch bulbs consider installing LED self adhesive strips in the fixtures. I did my complete 34 ft. trailer, 12 small fixtures, the bathroom valance light, and 3 large fixtures, for less than $15.00.

You can determine the brightness of each fixture depending on how many bulbs you install in a given fixture.

I got all of mine from Dan @LED4 (?) ; he advertises on the forum. He asked what year and model of AS and which lights I wanted to replace. He gave me a $ and number of the bulb. I broke one installing and he replaced it.

I did the complete inside all of the fixtures except the reading lights and outside side marker lights for $88.00. I got them on E bay from China they have been in a year and I have had no problems so far all bulbs worked out of the package.

I have checked them against 1141 bulbs that are selling from $10.00 to $20.00 and can see no difference in quality

How did you make the connection to power? Can you post a picture?

The 67 and 57 bulbs are identical with exception of the glass globe circumference. With the 57 being bigger and the 67 being smaller.

For a low intensity option

For a high intensity option

For the rear license plate light or minimal vertical clearance

I replaced all the bulbs in my coach except the dash warning lights, aux/fog lights, and head lights with LEDs I have many other lessons learned if you need more assistance.

I purchased from Amazon Warm light output for my low intensity and White light output for my high intensity. These will be used for my interior overhead cabinet lights. I should receive them next week and determine if they serve my purpose. I also purchased from Fastenal the upper red and amber LED running lights. Next I will take your suggestions for the Tail and Turn Signal bulbs.

What Bulb did you use for the Turn Signal and what if any problems did you have with them working, did you have to add a resistor?

Amazon search for "1157 led" then choose one. I did not have to use a resistor on my setup because I swapped out all bulbs. You will find that leds are sensitive to polarity. So if they do not work turn them 180 deg and try again.

I have installed the LED bulbs in the overhead cabinets, the backup lights and the outside door and flood light and have received but not installed the amber and red outside top lights. I don't understand your advice regarding turning the 1157 equivalent LED bulb 180 degrees since they are used both as a light and separately as a turn signal and the tabs on the body only allow the bulb to be inserted one way.
In my search for equivalent 1157 bulbs I have found non-resistor, build in resistor and comments that you have to add a resistor also based on another Thread here that on some cruise controls LED will not allow the cruise control to work. Getting confusing and makes me wonder if it is easier to not change the turn signal bulbs or which bulb to purchase.
In that regard I believe you are saying by switching all of the bulbs you don't need resistor bulbs or add a resistor am I understanding that correctly?

Gunter, regarding issues with the cruise controls. Some cruise control systems don't work properly when LED bulbs are installed in place of regular incandescent bulbs. I do know on my old 310 we installed LED brake light bulbs and the cruise control worked but not to long after the cruise stopped working. After doing a bunch of googling the only thing I could come up with was some systems don't work with LEDs. I never found anything saying that they could eventually break something in the cruise control but I found it somewhat suspicious. I replaced the cruise control and on recommendation of the manufacturer I added the relay circuit to bypass the LED light issue.

Bottom line is LED brake lights can affect some cruise control systems and possibly not others. On both vehicles I own I've installed the relay to ward off any potential problems

bkahler I believe your 310 is the same as my 345 where there is one bulb that has two circuits for lights and the other for brakes/turn signal can you clarify what you used for that bulb, resistor, non-resister or adding a resistor to each bulb.
