Land line cable reel

It is stiff and doesn't roll back onto the reel. The repair shop found that my ground bushing was broke. Just part of the bushing was missing. They called to find out that they could not get the part cause it's not made anymore. To old. The bushing still has part of the contact surface. This is the ground bushing. Can it still be used? If not does someone have a cable reel that they replaced laying around? I would like to buy the bushings out of it.
