Nick,
If you are still looking, I have had a little accident with my Kwikee step (it did not automatically retract) and replaced it with an Omnistep. Pretty cheap and easy to install. The step motor and mechanism were working fine until then and it now sits on my scrap heap. You are welcome to it.

Best,
Barend
Just a heads up:
I recently found out that the motor Nick recommended won't work on newer model steps. I have steps that were purchased about 4 years ago and the motor Nick suggested won't work on those steps. My guess is if you have steps from the early 90s or older then Nick's suggestion should work. Anything newer and it's probably a hit or miss proposition.
