Jack Antenna

I have just purchased a Jack Antenna for our 32.5 . I would like to know if I will have to make up a spacer because of the curve of the roof. Or will it fit close enough

Thanks

Mine fit fine. Just sealed it good with calk. First one was dead. The replacement worked fine. Not having to stow the antenna is nice.

Thanks Air Dog I was thinking of using 2 layers of Butyl tape to make up for the curvature. Are you happy with the antenna

Jack Antenna

It seems to work at least as good as the crank up Winegard which was replaced because the mast and gears were beat to death by POs. The signal finder is handy. Especially with the new TVs and their channel scans when you don't even know what channel to look for.

King Jack Antenna

Just completed installation of one. Used the optional base plate ($22) and recommend it. It covers all of the old holes and allows running the coax cable completely inside so none is exposed to the elements. I installed a short (12" or so) coax jumper at the antenna and ran it inside the housing then used a barrel connector to tie into the existing coax in the roof. There was plenty of slack in the old cable so I was able to get back to clean unexposed cable to crimp on the new connector.
Sitting inside a building with steel trusses, fluorescent light and a metal roof
it locks onto 23 digital channels! We are at least 30 miles from the nearest station and in a weak signal area.
One thing I did learn is that not all flat screen TVs have digital tuners. Got a digital to analog converter for one and replaced the other with a newer TV.

John, the Jack antenna fit just fine on my Argosy, no curve problems at all.
