Interior Lights Don't work on GEN or BATT
Im new to airstreaming and I have a 1988 345. My interior lights work great when plugged into the Ground power, but nothing works off just the batteries. Also, the only thing that works off the generator is the rear air conditioner. Any body got any ideas? Shouldn't the batteries light up the interior lights even if for only a small time? And with the Generator running shouldn't the interior lights also work? I feel like some electrical device must be shot, but don't know where to start. Help, please!

Locate the 12 volt fuse panel.
You should find a 50 amp fuse that is blown.

There are two fuse boxes, but the suspect one is the one under the kitchen drawers...it also should have breaker switches, and you turn the small plastic knob to open it, and it shouid swing down...the other fuse box is in the glove box. mike

Here is the fusebox in my '84 below the kitchen...
Not sure if the '88 is the same as my '84, but I have this switch above the stove that selects what you put the 110V to as well...
Sorry for teh crummy pic, but I think it states that the Rear air is always on automatically.

That 50 amp fuse is to protect the system should the shore power and gen set be producing too much juice. I never run the roof airs with shore power AND gen set. The front roof air will not work if the switch that alternates between microwave and roof air is in the wrong position. My switch is above the kitchen sink. It will not permit both to be operating at the same time because of the 30 amp wiring. The rear roof air will run ONLY off the gen set. Things could be different in your coach, I'm not sure if they had 50 amp service.

A 1988 has 30 amp service on shore power and 50 on generator power, same as the 84 model, the rear air works automatically with the generator or when the selector switch is set to rear air.

The selector switch was a good idea, 50 amp shore power service in our coaches would have been a excellent idea, but campgrounds at that time were barely getting into 30 amp.
