Indoor outdoor thermometer

One of those little things that can divert me from all the million important things I should be doing.

This thermometer must be original and is mounted above the front seats.

It has never been connected, and when I reconnected the white plug

.... nothing happened. There are two apparent further connections, A (a nut) and B (a metal tab with a screw hole) in the second picture, but nothing that I could see which would connect to them. Has anyone out there messed with these units before, or made a note of how they should be connected? I am assuming it is probably just dead, but if not I'd like to get it working.

Mine works in the 1989 325LE. I will remove it and see if there are any wires connected to that area. The front (outdoor) sensor is mounted to the radiator support right side, two white wires. I have not found the indoor one yet, but have not looked hard for it.

Thank you Bob, I'd greatly appreciate that. I wonder if the indoor sensor wouldn't just be the unit itself? That is the way with my house one. Good to know where the outdoor sensor is, I shall look for it.
