Question in dash ac vents

we have had the dash loose on our 83 Mh to trace and repair some lighting problems. while we had the dash loose we checked the ac vent hose and it was bad. took several days to get the hose and when I went to install the new I have 4 vent hoses and only 3 vents on the drivers side. we didn't disturb the vents on the passenger side. does 1 hose just hang loose to cool the floor area on the drivers feet or am I too blind to find a 4th place to attach the hose. I am ready to put the dash back togeather and get on to fixing a few more things so we can get on the road again

On my 83 MH the vent hose comes out by the brake pedal, maybe it needs a sock in it during the summer....bill

Gee, thanks! Now I have to go out and unscrew my dash to see if that's the source of the warm air at my feet. I'd never thought of that. But of course heat at your feet is a good thing come winter!
If you have selected vent you'll receive outside air from all vents but if you have dash a/c I don't know about the distribution hitting the floor....
Let us know what you find.
