I've found a 1983 300 about 270 miles away from me. I need to know the weight so I can round up the correct trailer to haul it back home. By the way, do these have dual rear wheels? I can't tell from the pictures. Any reason to stay away from the 300's in particular? I had decided on a 345, but this may be a deal and I don't want to miss it. Thanks for all your help.
A 345 has a GVW of 16,500 pounds. You can count on a 30 footer weighing about 12,500.
You do know a "trailer" would be something like a Landoll Haulall lowboy, right?
It will be rear dual wheel. No reason to stay away, I prefer a single rear axle for a number of reasons. No extra tires to maintain, no extra axle to maintain. Fit into a wider range of sites and the 4.5 extra feet, gets you a closet or a dinette....

O I get it. A low boy trailer, right? So you can fit under bridges? I'm a little slow.
Yes. The motor home is about 10' 6" tall, so you can't have a trailer more than 3' high where the wheels of the motor home would rest, or it would be overheight. You really don't want a convertible motorhome, do you? Airstream's attempt at one (Skydeck) was less than a rousing success.
