Hose reel info needed

Hi again, I just got the water hose reel removed yesterday.
It been dripping since the coach came to me.

I did find a great post on the subject with pics and details a while back.
But can't find it now.
Anyone know of it, can you send a link please?

Sure am glad that I am better with wrenches than I am with computers!

Cheers Richard

I'm having a hard time breaking down this thing down for repairs.
I have gotten all of the fasteners off, driven wedges between the reel and the spring chamber.
So far no movement on the center shaft.
I really just want to replace the O rings. Not too concerned with repairing the spring.
So wondering if the whole assembly can come off intact, or does the spring chamber have to be opened to get it all off the center shaft?

I still have not been able to locate the detailed thread of a hose reel rebuild.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well dang! Looks like I might now be one of those who used to have a hose reel.

After carefully looking over the design of the reel, I proceeded to try to drive the shaft out of the mount. Even after days of soaking with penetrating oil it was very tight in its mount. So I got a threaded piece to put into the shaft. So I could really whack on it without damage to the end of the shaft. Took a LOT of force to get it moving. Then with it about halfway out the shaft cracked. Just a hairline crack but now I think it may be done for. Don't think there are parts available for these units.
And I have still not gotten it out . Not sure if it's worth fighting with it any longer.
Any thoughts if this pretty close fitting piece could be welded and reused?

Bummer, these setbacks just take the wind out of my sails.
