I think I will make a cover for mine. On out last trip it had snow on the inside, and I want to put my new used Magnum inverter up there as well.

New air filter installed. I will take photos of the finished project next time.
I was able to trim a bit off the sides of the filter so I did not need to make a wider hole and modify the cover.

SebasSF, those are some nice mods you have going on. I too am looking at an inverter in the future. Current plan is to put it up front and add the length to the AC side of the wiring, rather than the DC to prevent voltage drop over distance. Have not figured out how to tackle it yet. I was looking at a full Xantrex system, but so many people offered negative impressions of it I have since looked at a magnum 2800watt inverter charger.

One of my other plans is to install zeus fasteners (quarter turn fasteners used in aviation) for the air filter grill for ease of maintenance. Have you thought of doing that?

Also need to add 600w of solar to the roof.

I need to get on it because I am planning on doing a Newfoundland trip in JUL/AUG of this year.

Thanks Vycan. Having the inverter next to the batteries is obvious when you look at the wire size needed to run an inverter off batteries compared to the #10 AC wire needed. I am going to install one solar module on my roof. I am in the solar industry, and I just want it to keep batteries charged when it's parked. When I'm using it, I typically drive for a stretch charging up the batteries, then camp overnight or for a day. If batteries start to get low and I'm not at a campground I can run the generator, so think through your use case before spending a bunch of money on solar. I don't really even have much of an application for the inverter, I must like the quality charger and monitoring panel. I think I will take out the convection microwave unit and install a range hood and a proper oven like the Dickinson Marine unit...

Finished the air filter housing project, and close to done on the bed...
Ran out of plywood, so there are two blocks holding it together. I decided to block up the cabinets remove the tops, and run the back shelf all the way around...looks good.

Looks good. I shortened up my cabinets on the sides too. It was just dead space.

Did some major Glamping last weekend out in Stinson Beach! We had out 10 year anniversary party and took the Airstream along...just managed to back it in. It was a great chill and center point for our party.

Love the look of your flooring! I too plan to adjust the bed like Dave did, but have not gotten to that item on my list yet.

Replaced the original muffler with one from Banks and some custom pipe. We'll see how the modifications do next week driving up to Oregon. One small mod helped a lot- I shortened the rod on the turbo bypass actuator...more boost and less smoke. I can hear the turbo spooling sooner and staying on longer.

That's the exhaust brake. The turbo bypass looks like this.

Hey Kota, after my last road trip up to Oregon, I'm not sure it made a big difference, but it sounds good! I'm looking for the best balance of power, mpg, and low egt...
