Get together in Germany

Hello to all of you
I only will remember you, that I make a get together meeting in Germany.
I like to know, how many AS Classic will enjoy the meeting.
I have to make the final booking at the camping area.
The date is from 25 to 28 of may.
Place: Bad Karlshafen at the river "Weser".

I hope there coming more than at the last "privat-meeting"

with best regards Peter

The reason I write here is, that I don't know all European AS.
I think most of them are here in this forum...

Hi Peter - I am sorry, but I will unable to make this one because my Daughter will be taking her first major exams in May/June, so not a great time for us. Have fun and post some pictures.

Hey - looks good. I am sorry I cannot be there. I doubt there will ever be another chance to get three blue stripe 250s in one place!

Have a great weekend and send some more pictures.

All the best
Nick

Thumbs up Meeting in Germany

We had a great time together, 5 Airstreams from North, West and South Germany and even from the Netherlands.
Camping near the river Weser, nice place, super weather, great people, barbeque and some drinks
Looking forward to next meeting

Hello again
We're back home. The trip went without problems.
It was a great meeting, small but with class.
For the first Airstream-Motorhome meeting in Germany certainly a success. Perhaps the smallest meeting, but perhaps the largest 250 meeting.
We had great weather, a nice campsite by the river Weser.
With the great participants it was a pleasure to spend the weekend.
The grill was hot and the evenings long. Also during the day we had our fun in the beautiful nature and Italian ice cream ....

Here some pictures

Best regards Peter

I'm curious about the "Detroit" T-shirt. I grew up the Motor City.

Charlie - little known fact, but Detroit Techno, spawned from Kraftwerk and later by the Electrifying Mojo on WJLB and then WHYT is very, very big in both Germany and the UK and has been for 30 years. Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins were from Belleview and created this sound in the mid-80s. I doubt the T Shirt relates to Detroit's musical legacy, but the city's global musical reach is far greater than Tamla Motown. I used to dance to this sound whilst a student in London in the late 80s. Happy days.

Thanks for the info. I retired from the Detroit PD almost 30 years ago. I never heard of techno music until I attended the Burning Man Festival, Black Rock City, Nevada (2002/2008). Not really my kind of music. I'm half way through my septuagenarian decade. You know, Rock Around the Clock

And what does this have to do with the largest Airstream motorhome meeting in Europe?

It links Germany (Kraftwerk and your gathering) with Detroit (Charlie and the city in which your chassis was built) via the Electrifying Mojo. Joining the dots. Social meedaw innit!
