Colaws is not in Joplin, it's in Carthage, MO. Here is their website. They have lots of Airstreams, but they also have lots of customers. Good Luck.

If you have no luck, I dont think it would be too tricky to make something that would look presentable.

The bottom half is a piece of aluminum sheet, that any decent metal shop could slip roll or english wheel to the curvature.
It has a few holes in it with mesh over.
The top piece is trickier, because of the angle around it, but its main face is flat with some louvers for cooling.
Many metal shops have a Louver punch.
The 2 halves are joied with a hinge.

The upper louver door is the same width as ours, so AS used a different latch set-up than yours and others, plus the middle hinge and the lower panel, which is wider (41 3/4") to take the bolts. I wonder if there is any one in your area that would loan you their's for a fabricator to take measurements? I also wonder if your's could be modified like ours, so this problem will never happen again?

Al, when you called about the door, and I told them the part was NLA, I also told them to refer you to Colaw. If they didn't, I'll have to have a chat with the person you were talking to.

Trust me, I've done some searching, as well. Could be all the mo/hos are still on the road? I've seen a couple of the old dears, sitting forlorn behind the barn, not for sale; what a waste!

Generator Door Latches

I too have the same door set up and have been worried about it falling off and disappearing as it has the one latch and flops around a bit when closed. With your new door did you come up with a new solution for securing it?
