Gaucho issues
I am in the process of re-installing a gaucho (electric couch/bed). I don't have the original switch. I am guessing the switch is a three position switch (forward - stop - reverse) that is biased to the middle (stop) position. Does anyone know the source of such a switch - is one still available or, alternatively, who sells a modern version of such a switch? Also, I am not sure where the switch was originally mounted - not sure that that matters - but it would be nice to put it back in a 'normal' location.
Also, I have noticed from other's photos that the gaucho originally had stationary arms - i.e., arms that don't move as the gaucho moves from couch to bed configurations. I don't have the arms - or anything that might have been on the ends of gaucho. Could someone let me know how those arms are mounted (I don't see any place for them to mount on the gaucho frame. Maybe I am missing something else that they mount too?). I also need the dimensions of the arms - I will have to make some and have them upholstered. Any photos would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dave

Can you post a picture of your current switch? You can get oodles of three position switches.

Gaucho Switch
That's one of the problems - I don't have a switch. The switch was removed during an earlier renovation = I just have the gaucho frame with the motor - and two wires coming out of the motor. I have confirmed that the motor works, and am trying to re-build the gaucho. I suppose I will just get an after market switch since an OEM one does not seem to be available.

As for switch replacement, maybe look at an automotive winch switch.
When my US Gear overdrive relay packed up, one of the mechanic commented that it looked and performed exactly the same as his winch relay, with an out/neutral/in position. Also my power chute on my snowblower has the same switch, hold the switch left, chute goes left; hold switch to right, chute goes right; let go of switch and the chute stops.
