If you're using TunerPro RT then you wouldn't need blue tooth. TunerRT Pro is for laptop installations. ALDLdroid is for you phone. One thing I plan to try next time I start the engine up is to load ALDLdroid and then use my ALDL to USB adapter to see if I can connect it to my Samsung Note 4 using an OTG adapter. If that doesn't work then I'll explore an ALDL to bluetooth adapter.

To the original poster, swapping a Qjet out for the GM TBI system has its rewards, but it is also a challenge if you are unfamiliar with engines. I have been playing with motors since the 70's but it was still a challenge.
This was my install. The last tab on the page is the "Gremlins" page.

I have seen written several times that the MPG you get with a 454 is decided totally by the diameter of the hose delivering the fuel.....it drinks as much as the maximum flow down that line!

This is interesting to me as more data would be a good thing. Now I have to look for an OBD1 port on the moho....

From my fireman's daZe I do recall that you need to factor pressure, diameter & distance. Fuels have different densities so that can mess up the calculation. If you like calculations, try this page:
http://ipgparts.com/blog/fuel-line-s...ize-do-i-need/

This may be a bit extreme and off topic, but what I have done to get a fairly accurate MPG measurement is to dip stick the tank before and after the trip. To avoid excess weight on short runs I seldom fill the tank to the top and the fuel gauge is useless for getting a accurate fuel level.

I cut a hole in my floor to access the in tank fuel pump that I installed:

I installed a aluminum rod marked for gallons through the port in the lower left of the photo.

As long as I park level to do the measurement, I can get a good indication of my MPG. If I do need to add fuel between measurements, I just add in the pump reading.

This is where I bought mine that is ALDL to USB:

That was in 2014 and there may be better options today

Is there anything like that that you can get now? I am worried about
my heavy foot with my new 345.

Pete.
Living in England, paying three to four times as much for fuel than the Yanks on this site; owning a 7.4l V8, driving 16,000 lbs of motorhome over hills and dales; and you're worried about MPG? You've gone and bought the wrong thing mate.

The best mpg fuel economy device you can use is the grey matter between your ears. Keep your speed down, reduce your stop and starts to a minimum, gain momentum ahead of hills, windows closed, travel light as you can with no water and empty tanks; even reduce the amount of fuel you carry, from say 80 gallons to 20-30 gallons will save you 400-600 less lbs you need to cart around.

Weight, speed and stops and starts are your biggest enemy for mpg.

If all that fails to work enough for you, buy a new Volvo big rig and a low loader trailer and trailer it around the country using diesel, or convert the 7.4 to a diesel.

Just my HO.
Cheers
Tony

I PM'ed you (I think I did but I am new to this system) and I am interested.

Pete.

Pete, I tried sending you a PM but it appears you've selected not to receive PMs from forum members. I sent you an email instead.

LPG conversion is viable in the U.K. I could have more than paid for it if I had got my act together. Impco is the way to go, through Nash Fuel.
