FYI Classic motorhome Isuzu accelerator cable or throttle cables.

I think I posted somewhere that due to a fan belt disintegrating, (another thread, another time) it drove my throttle or accelerator cable into the fan. I scoured the air forums finding this thread

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f311...sel-51952.html

which gave me this part number...

Chevrolet GM Workhorse Throttle Cable #1248092 69" 262/292/350/454 & 4BT

The posting also stated that an Airstream tech who used to work at the factory doing the conversions stated the same cable was also used on the Isuzu diesels; so I purchased the cable the same day my broke. Later on when the weekend came I had a chance to remove my cable, (that unfortunately had no part number on it), to compare with the picture of the cable on order. The cables matched for the most part but had a different length and what looks like a different end at the pedal side. I haven't got the cable yet but I am certain the pedal attachment is different.

I have since found another cable that matches percisely the cable I removed from my Isuzu diesel.

If your accelerator cable at the pedal just snaps off, this is the cable you want.

Cheers
Tony
