Furniture Re-upholstery problems

I have a 1989 345 LE and have been getting the living room furniture reupholstered. I take the pieces out of the MH, take them to the upholsterers shop and he does the hard stuff. That has gone good until now when I need to remove the sofa. I have removed the floor bolts and the unit can be moved but the arms (which are covered with vinyl that will not be replaced) are attached and makes it very difficult to get out the door. Has anyone out there done this before and can give some advice to make this easier??????? Thanks, Rollin Dawg

Rollin Dawg, have you checked any of the other sections of the forum to see if our sofa's are similar to any installed in the TT? Just a thought.

I was able to take the couch out in one piece with the help of a friend. You may try it in the "open" position and on its side if memory serves.

Rollin, I am curious about the costs to reupholster? I would like to do the same to my couch and two chairs.

Thanks
Dean

Thanks oliver00 for the tip. I'll give it a try when I can find a couple of strong backs.

Dadstoy, On the cost question: The two chairs labor cost was $200 each and the sofa is to be $175. I bought the fabric at a fabric store and I can't remember the price - not bad though
