Saw this and thought it was worth sharing...

You must have seen Bob's suppression system he put into his 325? Now that's fire suppression.

I too worry about electrical fire, but at least my engine won't start it.

Cheers
Tony

I found them on Amazon, but they were $325.

They look great, but a bit pricey.

Where did you see them for $75?

They are 50 on UK ebay, which is about $75. I am tempted - do you think they would stand the engine heat and where would be best to mount it?

I am glad I didn't imagine that price!

I thought they were activated only by actual fire, so they should be ok in the engine compartment...

I keep the ounce of prevention ... adage a priority. Fire extinguishers are a pound of cure. I have a couple good fire extinguishers but focus on prevention. There are some good articles out there on what causes RV fires. Maintenance of systems can avoid fires better than suppression systems are at treating them. As a pilot, fire is my biggest fear.

Agreed.....You can all check out my fire suppression system at the get together if you would like. Cleaning out the space behind the refrigerator all the way up to the roof vent will take care of that area. The fuel system on the generator also needs to be maintained for that area, and for the engine...all old oil stains, valve cover leaks etc need to be taken care of as well.
