factory power amp

Replaced factory radio and speakers the wiring diagram shows a power amp that takes a 8 amp fuse . Where is this " power amp " hiding ?

If yours is anything like mine the diagrams don't always reflect reality. Probably an option once. I'm still trying to track down a bunch of unused wires.

Mine had a sony power amp/equalizer unit mounted right above the stereo head unit in the dash. It was fed via an inline 8a fuse. I took it out when I replaced the stereo, and now have a big hole in the dashboard. Must have been an option.
