Hi Malcolm,

That is an amazing piece of documentation!

Many Classic owners wonder about total production numbers of various models, and this seems to absolutely nail down the quantity of 370's that were ever produced. So cool! It also just about doubles the number of 370's that everyone thought were produced.
This list in itself would be the basis of archiving the past history and present whereabouts of the these coaches. My chassis number ends with 459 and was sold to Gibbs and Craze Co., LPA in Ohio.

We should forward this to Fred's Airstream Archives as well.

Thanks for posting, and Happy Thanksgiving.

Charly

Hi Malcolm,

If you came down through Boston, you would have passed within two miles of me on the way to Cape Cod. Wish I'd known about the rally, it would have been a short trip. I live just above the town of Plymouth. Maybe next time. Charly

Hi Malcolm,

I forwarded your correspondence related to the 370 production numbers to Fred's Archives. He sends his THANKS! You have officially added to the history of Airstream Motorhomes, and can see your contributionon his site.

Thanks again,

Welcome Malcolm!
What a great entrance post!
Are you Malmills from IRV2 that I directed over here?

Either way, I am interested to know what is wrong with the current motor?

Motor

The motor was taking oil I did a compression test and it revealed that the heads needed to be redone. Did that but didn't help much, runs better but not as good as it should. Drove it all summer and did another compression test and shows that one head isn't near as good as it should be. Now that winter is hear I'm wondering what my best plan of repair might be. Thanks for the interest Malcolm Peddie

Replace with a cummins... win!
In all seriousness, have you considered your options and researched other powerplants?

Hi I'm in the process of of that right now, I once changed changed a motorhome I had from a 427 gas to a 5.9 cummins, took 230 hours of labor, luckily I have my own garage and tools and did all the work myself. I'm not sure if I'm ready to do it all again. Malcolm Peddie
