Damn those distractions.

Visited my wife's best friend in Port Franks this weekend..........wife's best friend is very distracting............forgot to replace water tank outside fill cap......drove for six kms only to find water fill outer cap open and water cap gone...........wife wants to know how it was possible I forgot to reattach cap and close lid............

Need to know if screw on cap is standard size so I can put this to bed, fast.

Cheers
Tony

Time to build a checklist....

1. Install blinders to prevent distractions.

2.....,,

I am going to need water, and sometimes enjoy most distractions.

And I have never been to Port Franks?

Directions would be appreciated!

Dave

Funny thing is I often tell my wife to go away if I'm working on anything that requires concentration, and my wife knows better than to interupt me on my preflight checks; however that's difficult to do to my wife's best friend; naughty and nice, if you know what I mean.

I wouldn't stray though, and would suggest others take heed as she is known as the "Black Widow of Port Franks".

I will drop by the local RV store to make sure of fitment as you never know, water cap designs may have changed.

Cheers
Tony

I need to focus without chit chat when I hook up, dump, unhitch etc. it just pretty much helps me make sure I am safe

Aren't those caps attached to the inside of the water fill compartment like a fuel cap ?

Maybe I'm in the minority but I like my copilot to watch my hookup procedure and occasionally point to what is not connected, Items seem simple but when you get distracted all bets are off. Toad hookup-5 cables, 1 electric, 2 safety, and 2 brake cables. Remove lineup sighting helpers.

Sewer at the dump station, simple open valves, dump, rinse and close put away hoses, plastic tether on cap saved it, but reminded me to change it so that it would be in the way when closing valves. Put a bolt in wall of tube holder to manually fix tube in even if small door bumped open. Carry spares.

Ah so Lynn is the former best friend of your Ex-wife

Mike you are a braver man than was apparent.

I mean driving all over the country in an old bus with the wheels falling off, now that's ballsy, but this.

Cheers Richard
