Please let us know how it works! My wireless (came with) kinda sucks... plus the transmitter and receiver suck down amps when I forget to turn them off...

I'll definitely let all know how it works out! I have one of those $99 license plate wireless cameras on the MH. Its sort of worthless as a "backup" camera because the monitor is too small. Other issue is since it is wireless, the monitor image comes and goes. Its best use which has actually made it worth the money is I use it when passing a semi to see if I have enough room to pull back over.

Another strange effect of the wireless units is it affects WiFi. I don't know how I figured this one out, but I was at a campground one time and I couldn't get the WiFi to work. I was swearing at the lousy campground WiFi serviced. Something in my head told me to turn off the wireless camera. Wifi was working again!

I'm willing to run a cable to get the quality that is required for a backup camera.

I'll try this one out on my truck, but I think I'm going to need an extension for the mount such as the one in this pic...I can't find one...

I am just stating facts. Now it is probably a fact that I forget to turn it off due to the wine

Also, Dean just gave me a clue as to why my wifi doesn't work in the trailer sometimes!

So our neighbors got us a wine bottle stopper and vacuum pump. We asked what it was for. They said to save left over wine in the bottle. We asked What's leftover wine?

Now where did I put that wine????

That's true, there is never any left over wine and if for some reason there is its because it's no good!

Nice! Looks like a 31'. I was up in Red Bluff this weekend, but I didn't leave the ranch! I hope you're having a great trip. I loved your pic from Weed!

Dean, If I remember correctly. you had a problem with your 110 V relay in the back. You know, the one that switches between gen and shore power. Did you replace it and if so with what? I have intermittent issues with mine.
Thanks

Hey Peter, I haven't replaced it. The one I have is a Parallax ATS 301. I bypassed it and added a receptacle to do a "manual switch". I do wish I had an automatic switch again...maybe later this year.

I think I had posted that I was upset this one didn't last long, but it is probably a good unit. We had a lightening strike on a power line at the ranch last summer and this is when the unit began failing. All stands to reason...I have a surge protector but of course the "switch" is in line before the surge protector so it is going to take any surge first from a lightening hit.

Before I ever get another one, I would do some research to see if the switch has any type of surge protector.

Thanks Dean,
I have to check if the ATS-301's box profile will fit my space, since it is in the location where you added the receptacle, but it is in front of the Power cord spool.
I may have to go with the Power Max instead

Checking the oil in my Isuzu diesel today and thinking this would be a nice motor for the MH, but I don't think it would fit! Its been a couple of busy months, so I haven't had the opportunity to visit the MH. I hope it has made it through all the rain ok.

Isn't that what shoe horns are for?!

I was wondering where you had disappeared to. Glad to see you're still alive and kicking

Dean

I hope you have a quiet spring but have a feeling you're going to be battening down the hatches for the upcoming summer. It has been a dry winter and spring up here so far.

I hope CAL fire has some new equipment.

Cheers
Tony

I don't have much time these days to enjoy the MH, but I did run up to the ranch this weekend. It was time to "swap" RV spaces. It was a very short trip in time...not miles! I did enjoy a campfire for a couple of hours. I was worried that I might find a wet carpet when I arrived due to the amount of rain that the north state has experienced this winter, but to my amazement all was dry! The MH started right up and ran well. I sure miss taking it out on the highway.

Hi All!

I hope everyone is well and you are all enjoying your RVs. It has been over a year since I have been up to the ranch to use or see my motor home. I definitely miss it! I've been busy working on my new business, working 12 hours a day and at least one day each weekend. Way too much work for someone 59 years old. There are usually at least 5 Airstream trailers in the storage lot where I park my tool truck and I see them every day and think about my motor home. I would love to have the MH down here to use on the weekends, but at $260 a month for storage it is just not feasible at this time. We had three years worth of rain up north last winter and I'm afraid of the water leaks I'm sure exist in the MH and I've never had mice issues but with the MH parked in the storage lot up there for over a year, I worry about that too. I need to go up there, but it is 115 degrees up in Redding right now and has been over 100 degrees every day for over 30 days now! Ouch! I'm sure that has done some damage to the MH as well. I'm having withdrawals! Well, I hope all of you have a great summer! Hopefully my English here passed the muster...I don't won't to get deported...oh that's right, I guess I don't need to worry...what a year it has been!
