The dash turned out great! I'm glad to get rid of the old '80s orange. Now just have to keep working on the ugly rose colored carpet. Just what were they thinking back in the 80's? Also made a little foot rest for the passenger side.

We were lucky, we have a grey carpet, but our dash needs work. The "simulated wood trim" on the exterior drives me nuts, but the kids that admire Bess think it's cool, they say it's "retro", whatever that means. The 80's were not exactly the best time for color schemes, it was disco mania, if any of you recall.

I think it is sort of cool to mix the new with the old. My painted dash looks like it just rolled off the factory floor, but the gauges are sort of retro...I sort of like that!

Mike,
When I painted my dash I used a paint made by Krylon called Fusion for plastic, a no prep super bond paint and it worked excellent. Used it on all the interior plastics in the coach, such as air conditioner cover, vents, ceiling above shower and so forth.

Thanks Steve. I really like the thermostat. Wiring was simple for me. Thermostat works the furnace only. I have only two wires, R and W.

Yes, mine only works the furnace.... and as for wires, you got lucky... I also had 2... both the same color.... found out by research, that it didnt matter which way they connected... and it works fine.

Gotta love being able to see the temp eh?

On the road again!

Heading to Coos Bay, OR with ATV in tow. Currently in Weed, CA. Beautiful blue skies, Mt Shasta in the background and the nice smell of wood burning fireplaces!

I believe you mentioned you still have the original hitch receiver on your motorhome; check it often, mine came off when I was towing less than 2,000 lbs. luckily I was going through a town and coming to a stop for a stop light. The hitch is very weak.

I stayed last night at Seven Feather Casino RV Park in Canyonville, Oregon. It's a beautiful park and I highly recommend it (forth time for me). I parked in my space, got out and looked over and three spaces from me was this beautiful '92 300LE. A really nice couple bought it about a year ago. I'm so jealous, it is so nice looking and has the rear bedroom. We traded tours and had a great time chatting Airstream motorhomes. I told them about the forum and hopefully we will see them on here!

Here is a photo of theirs and a photo if mine...
