Who knew just how fascinating toilet work can be? NOT!!!

The toilet bowl hasn't been holding water for awhile. I ordered the replacement seals and a new flange gasket. Two days ago I flushed the tank with a tank wand that I have. So no real issue with smelly stuff. Its a very easy job to replace with seals and gasket. I really didn't expect the flange gasket to be bad, but it was almost completely gone. Two of the four flange bolts were also broken. I'm thinking toilet maintenance is something one should pay more attention to.

Word of caution. During flushing with wand, wear protective face gear. Its been three days and I'm not sick nor do I have pink eye so I'm guessing all is fine.

I think I also need to replace the flush ball at some point.

Well that's the top end. Now I need to move to the bottom side and replace the dump valve gaskets. I would rather be riding the RZR in the mud from the rain we had the last three days!

I drove home yesterday after spending 2 weeks at the MH. It rained all day Sunday so I moved the TV from the bedroom to the salon and watched TV all day, real TV off an antenna (so old school) since the internet wasn't working. I really love my Amazon Fire TV Stick.

I finally moved the display for the surge protector from the bathroom closet to the front next to my battery monitor.

I am sorry you had to endure that

Whenever we camp in some remote area with 3 air channels and old tv shows, I amazes me what and how little it used to take to entertain folks

12 volt Converter

My 12 volt converter died on me. Its a Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power 60 amp unit. Its about 8-9 years old. I think it is a good unit so I'm looking to replace it with the same. I'm trying to decide if I will stay with the 60 amp unit or get the 70 or 80 amp unit. The 80 amp unit requires a 20amp plug which is no big deal to change.

I had to laugh at myself while watching "Gilligan's Island". I was thinking how in the world did we use to watch this stuff, but then again I kept on watching it on Sunday. Now there were some shows that haven't been beat by anything today such as MASH and Perry Mason, which I also watched on Sunday.

I would stay with the PD4560 given that you prob replaced lights with LED's and rather use the extra wattage on the AC circuit

For me it would be the PD9260. Good advice Peter on staying with the 60 amp unit.

I have switched over to some interior LED lights, but I do like the ambience (color balance) of incandescent lights so I have kept many of them. But with 30amp service in the MH and only 30amp service at the ranch, I have to always manage my power usage.

I do not leave the MH plugged in when I'm not there. It can be 4 to 8 weeks between visits, so the coach batteries do discharge some. When I arrive at the MH and plug into shore power, the converter often goes into "boost" or "equalization" mode which draws a lot of AC amps. In the summer time, I need to turn the air conditioner on immediately as well. Sometimes I will turn off the converter or not turn on the batteries until later at night when the A/C can be turned down. So maybe the 60amp converter would be a better choice so as not to put more of a strain on the AC system.

Get the charge wizard pendant for the 9260 and tell the converter to hold its horses until the interior cools down

I actually have the pendant for the existing converter. It just isn't located conveniently to get to and see. I wish they made something better looking and I would mount it up front as well.

I purchased the first converter and some other equipment from bestconverter.com and I just reordered from them. I saw some comments on Amazon about units being sold without serial numbers which no warranty service will be provided. Bestconverter.com has a notice on their site provided by the manufacturer about this issue as well.

I bought many of the PD9260 over the years and had 3 replaced under warranty. They are great about it if you have a serial number they can cross reference for being within the 2year warranty. I would not buy one without a Serial number.

Another reason for sticking with a 60 amp unit is you might have to upgrade the wiring from the converter to the batteries if you went larger. Just depends on what the current wire size is right now.

Here in Kentucky we get MeTV over the air.....

I'm guessing the cable from the converter to the batteries is 6 or 8 gauge.

Look what I found on cable in another channel range...MeTV!!!

I installed the new 12v converter today. All lights are working and batteries are charging. Voltages look good. It was an easy swap since I replaced with the same unit. It sits on the floor under the bed and between the wheel well and generator on the passenger side.

Finished replacing the dump valve gaskets. Not too bad of a job, a job that should have been done a year ago. No visible leaks. Valves open and close easily. Just need to see if tanks will now hold water.

I'm glad I won't have waste pipes like that! I'll be using what Martin used on Bella which is a cassette style of toilet. I'll only have a 3/4" drain line for the gray water tank
