in 2001 I built these ramps, when I realized the radiator in the 79 models had to be removed from underneath.
Still using the same ramps now, but I added stops to keep me from driving of. Just shows you quality doesn't cost, it pays

Thanks guys (and sorry for the distraction on your thread Dean).

At least I did get the response from you, that I got from DW.....which went along the lines that it was easier for me to get thinner than to raise Bella.

My ramps are for leveling the MH but they sure make it nice to work under the coach as well. I don't believe there is a single space at the ranch that is level. I have to level the MH as best as possible via the tires before I deploy the leveling hydraulic jacks. Too much leveling with the jacks alone will bend the frame just enough to cause the door not to close properly.

I guess an open question to all the SMEs on the forum - what do you use/how do you lift your MH to get to work underneath? Jack (bottle/trolley?) and axle stands? Heavy duty ramps?

It maybe just an artifact of me being nearly as round as I am wide (and I am pretty wide) but working underneath is a nightmare!

Well, my 120 mile mini-trip was a fun time. I sure enjoy driving the coach and another week and we will be heading to Yosemite.

I finished most of the tasks I wanted to get done for this next trip. I even pulled the coach control panel above the refrig and changed a couple of bulbs. Now I have a "Panel On" and a "Water Pump" light! Sweet!

I only had enough paint to do one mirror, but at least I finally did get one of them painted.

Just remember to start slow in first gear and stay slow down those hills around Yosemite. I had a nasty scare with breaks starting to overheat and go soft on one of those hills...one of the main reasons I love the Allison 6 speed and diesel exhaust brake- you can go down crazy steep hills forever without touching the left pedal.

That's always good advice! This will be our fifth trip to Yosemite with the motor home. The Chevy 454 and Turbo 475 tranny with disc brakes all around does just great. On those long steep downhills, I use second gear and apply the brakes for short periods of time. With this method, I have never had the brakes fade and have only smelled them once.
