Hi Dean
Deb and I enjoyed meeting and talking to you guys while at yosemite. Thought about you as we drove through Redding Friday in the am we made it back home Saturday afternoon. You were correct about the 20 mph down the hill on our way back on 120, had no problems just took it easy.
Nice looking pics of the park, we will be back down in October and maybe our paths will cross again at jackson or the tin can tourist events.

Hi Dave and Deb. Alex and I enjoyed meeting the both of you too. You both did an amazing job on your trailer...I really liked your cabinet work! Glad you made it home safely. We got back up to Redding about 8pm last night and then headed back home today. The MH ran great and I can't wait to take it out again! It would be great to meet up again.

I ran over to A & B Trailer Hitch in Redwood City today and got a great price on an extra Prodigy brake controller mount and a universal cable so that I can hookup my Prodigy controller in the Airstream.

I'm watching "Killer RV Upgrades" on cable tv and GMC and AS motorhomes are drag racing each other at the Orlando drag strip! Now that was a site!

There is a drag race for V.W. vans in Lake Havasu: the slowest guy wins.

Here is my home made generator exhaust extension using the old sewer pipe storage pipe and a few parts from homedepot.

I can only run the genset for about 20 minutes until the co detectors go off. This will solve that and it will really help out at Burning Man.

This set-up makes me wonder why the CO detectors are going off in the first place......

That's an easy one...all window gaskets are shot, gen compartment needs to be reseated and the big one, mh and genset are 30 yrs old.

Most rallies today require one if you want to use genset.

Ahhhh, (smacking my forehead) Guess when I finally get my Airstream actually running, my next task will be to get genset running to smell the fumes from it, huh??? lol
Thanks, Derek

I installed my brake controller, ran some wire and wired up a seven pin connector at the rear. The hitch is welded to C cross member that is attached directly to the main frame rails (no extensions on the frame to hitch like on the longer chassis). I figured I'll be about 2500 lbs. my dad towed a 3000 car for years. I'll let you know if the hitch is still attached after my trip to Coos Bay next month!
