Looking good Dean.
Have been doing a little bit of re-wiring myself.
Up graded the control panel.
Added a 2000 watt inverter and 40 amp DC-DC charger to get ready for 2 New, 140 amp hour LeFiPo4 batteries in place of the 2 AGM's that only lasted for less than 3 years!.

Thanks Chris. Looks like you installed a nice system there! Let us know how you like it after some use. I think I'm on 6 or 7 years with my flooded batteries. They are still working ok with the very little off grid use that they get.

I hadn't considered that but I suppose you can get a new control panel from AS and rewire the coach up to the new model. What did that set you back?

I did the panel myself. Reusing the old AS panel and added a digital DC volt meter and AC line voltage/Amp gauges. My AC (land line) system is a 50 amp now.
The Victron BMV was about $200.
The Renogy 2000 watt inverter/charger and 40 amp DC/DC charger both directly from Renogy was about $670.
Will probably have about $400 in wiring and crimps, due that I had already replaced a lot of the lines with 2/0 welding cable.
The new LiFePO4 140 amp hour batteries will be about $640 from Timeusb.

Anyone interested in these knobs? They are from my '82 MH dash A/C fan/temp controls. They fit very small "D" shafts, so I had to replace them when I replaced the controls with modern rheostat and switch.

Brown/rust color at bottom of knob is only a reflection in the photo.

Free, so let me know!!!

After receiving a "Water Filtering" degree from YouTube University, This is what I have decided on...

I'm going with a two stage external filtering system, with 5 micron and .5 micron filters. I'm doing an external filter so that all water in the MH is filtered, even the fresh water tank since it is filled by opening a valve under the galley sink.

I wanted to mount the filters inside, but there is really no room. The only place would be in the rear closet, but then if it leaked that would be a mess and even having to change filters would be difficult. Mounted inside however would have helped with not freezing in the winter.

Having it external means extra work to setup and take down, but leaks or water spillage would not be an issue.

The only concern I have with these types of filters is will they grow bacteria during those periods of nonuse. I know there are anti-bacterial filters, but they are quite a bit more expensive.

I made a 3 tiered filter with an Anti-bacterial filter as the third. I created a wood box that supports the 3 filters together. Its as small as I can make it and we put it in the back external storage compartment on trips. I always connect it up to the city water inlet and use it to filter all water that goes into the fresh water tank. This way everything coming in is as clean as I can make it.

In the off season I open up the filters, drain the water and let them air dry before reassembling for next season.

3 years... so far so good. Total cost so far, 150 bucks.
