Hello Mario,

I don't have a spotlight nor a horn on the roof. I've checked the running lights and those holes are sealed. I've had leaks at the top of the A pillars due to the windshield gasket leaking at those top corners. I've dumped lots of sealant down those "holes" and no leaks there after all the rain we had. I've always had a leak at the top of the windshields at that center windshield pillar. So I'm pretty sure that the leak is from the gasket at the top of the windshield...gasket doesn't look good up there!

I'm glad you found and fixed your leak!

A few weeks back, I was nice to pour two glasses of wine. Well, it's been raining and snowing and raining and snowing and raining and snowing since. I need to get back up there soon.

I went with the cheap wine this time. It actually has a nice taste for $3.50 a bottle! LOL. True however.

Yesterday was space swapping day. We were 90+ days overdue because of the rain and snow this winter. I just throttled down and didn't sink too bad into the mud.

That only becomes a problem once I start taking the old one off. That should motivate me to finish the work. LOL

Well, in that case if it was me doing the work the new one would never have been purchased

Well, after four days, I have myself a working shower. It's a real pain to work on since there is no rear access. The reason I replaced the valve is that I had a leak at the shower head side of the valve. It didn't leak in normal use, but if I turned off the shower head while soaping up, the pressure would produce a small leak at one of the pex fittings. Also, the old valve was the original valve. I had replaced the springs and O rings and trim kit years ago, but the valve never worked very well. The only way to go is the "new" cartridge valves. I say "new" as if they were just invented, LOL.

I can't believe how bad looking all got in 10 years! I painted a bit to cover up the ugliness. I need to epoxy the shower tub and walls...nope that will never happen, so I will live with the different color paint. I'm sure that will flake off soon.

There is no way to install anything in the wall to mount the valve, so I used the plasterguard and the trim ring to mount all to the shower wall. A couple blocks of wood in between was needed to space the valve back into the wall cavity for the proper depth. If I ever have to work on this again, I will cut the front panel out and reinstall with a larger panel over the hole.

The valve and cartridge have an "Up" position, but I need the shower head outlet facing down. Looking at the valve, there really is no reason I can't install the valve upside down. The cartridge fits the valve up or down so I installed the cartridge "Up" for all to work correctly and have the cold water come on first. Delta had three cartridge types. I got the simple one with constant pressure and user adjustable temperature. I think it is going to work well.

Looking good Dean!
With the limited space you had to work in, your must be related to Houdini [emoji12]
Could not understand why they always pointed the shower connection up!?

A couple days back, I had to drive out of the hills and into town to get some different pex fittings. I've never seen to much pex in one place before (Lowes).

Awhile back, I moved the water heater switches from the bathroom to the front which I really like. I have to keep a close eye on my "30 amps" and this makes it much easier to manage the water heater, electric heater, and the microwave.

The electric side of the water heater has been working, but I went to test the propane side yesterday and it didn't work. Of course, the last thing I did was moving the switches. Well I didn't wire the propane switch and the error light correctly. I checked the wires back to the water heater to verify the colors and what colors Airstream wired them too. Then on top of that, I have different colors on the ribbon cable I used to move the switches forward. I straightened out the wiring issue and all is working. I'm glad I didn't burn out the water heater circuit board.

Now what's on my mind is what the new owner (if there ever is one) will say about the PO's wiring job and complain about it here on the forums! Well, they will have a lot to complain about from the firewall back to the rear lights!

We have had a couple of days of clear weather with another large storm on its way tonight. So yesterday, it was a good time to ride out to the back 40 (actually 14,000) to enjoy the blue skies and the landscape. And of course, that called for a nice glass of cheap Shiraz.
