Hot Water Mixing Valve

Has anyone installed a hot water mixing valve on their water heater? Its almost impossible for me to adjust the water temp at the sinks and shower. About the only issue I've read about here on the forums is that they seem to clog easily. They are over priced but I can't deal with scalding water any longer.

I have a mixing valve and it’s been working just fine. Let’s us 2 take showers with water-conserving but no cold shower, and no scalding.

I need a new "mercury" switch for my door step (or whatever is used these days). I can't really find anything. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks

I’m glad you asked this, I have one on my step and in the handle of the deadbolt. Both have frayed wires and need replacement

Broken wires on the deadbolt for me too. The dash lights aren't working and neither is the button to lock the deadbolt.

My lights still work, but I’ve had to solder and shrink wrap the wires at the deadbolt but…it broke right at the switch and I can feel that it is loose again. I suspect 1 strand is still connected

Found a potential replacement on eBay, should have it in a week. I will post details if it works for our application

Finished up the week with new spark plug wires and a new dog house gasket. I tried and tried to cut good 45 degree corners with the metal in the gasket. Had to give up because I was about to run out of gasket.

It was a nice couple of weeks up north in the MH, except for some owner flying a FJB flag. Do what you want on your own private property, but very inappropriate here on a multi-owner, family oriented property. Then there were all the dogs running off leash. I grew up with a kid that was scarred on one side of the face from a dog mauling. These leash laws and rules exist for a very good reason! Then there was someone firing a hand gun Saturday morning in an off limits shooting area close to the developed compound. We have a shooting range and 8,000+ acres of back country hunting area and the national forest behind that for such activity.

Well enough complaining. What awesome weather we had. Who knew we would have April weather and temps in the middle of January? I kept up my tradition of drinking a cheap bottle of wine in the dark, sitting in the captain's chair and listening to Adele on the "radio" ("streaming" when the internet is working). There was a day at the ranch when one had to go up to the rec center and drop coins in a pay phone to communicate with the outside world. We don't have cell coverage up on the mountain, but we do have internet/wifi. I miss those old days. When I'm up there now and my cell phone rings (phone calls over wifi/internet), I just shake my head and yell out "please NO".

You're complaining because you're getting old and crotchety. How do I know? Because I think we're about the same age and I know I'm getting old and crotchety

Are those pictures of the same area that burned last fall? If so the area seems to have made a tremendous recovery!

Beltran. Be aware that Deans Airstream is an early model with a metal doghouse cover. Yours's is a later model with a plastic cover. I could be wrong but I think the gaskets are different between the two different models.

A "VERY HEAVY" metal dog house cover!

If I remember right your gasket lays in a flat channel. The later covers have a gasket that fits over a lip. If your gasket fits over a lip then it might work on the later covers.
