Polished the front bumper. It's not perfect, but good enough for now. Cleaned and painted the rubber bumpers. Cleaned, sanded and painted the driving lights and mounted on the bottom of the bumper instead of the top. Put new bulbs in the driving lights and used some new hardware.

Wow! Bumpers look great! Any difficulty in removing them? Guess I should start soaking the bolts now, so I can get them off on Sunday.
Thanks, Derek

Front bumper is mounted with two Phillips head screws on the top and two on the bottom. Had to use a small impact driver with Phillips head to get screws loose...don't strip those screws!

I would never have known that it was mounted with only these small screws until someone just recently posted such. I've got to stop reading this forum. Every time I do, I end up with something else to work on!

After I got the screws out, I didn't think I would get the bumper off the steel beams it sits on. Don't put any pressure or tools on the banana wrap for it is problem very brittle. Just work the ends of the bumper back and forth and you will eventually get it to slip off. Even though it is aluminum, it is a bit heavy with the two large aluminum bumps on it.

Made it to Yosemite last night! Some light snow on the ground. Clear blue skies today.

Had engine problem right off the bat...12v wiring at distributor/coil. McGyvered it and continued on our way. Not fun driving down the mountain with engine not running. Coasted a quarter mile till turnout. Steering is almost impossible under 10 mph! Thought trip was over before it started.

Steersafe is amazing! Removes most of the wandering.
